Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced the upcoming addition of a new resort in Brazil.With modern and sustainable design focused on the natural beauty of the region, launched Anantara Mamukapo Bahia Resort Will represent the luxury brand’s debut in Brazil and South America.
The property will be located in the Baijue district on the northern coastline of Bahia, approximately 150 kilometers from the capital of the state of El Salvador. Famous for its crystal-clear lagoons and tranquil surroundings, this small fishing village is one of the most popular year-round destinations on the region’s coast. The ocean and one of Brazil’s largest protected sandbar reserves will serve as the backdrop for Anantara Mamucabo, which will be spread over a 500,000-square-meter site. Construction on the new property will begin in 2023, with the resort scheduled to launch in 2025.
Anantara Mamucabo will offer 116 rooms, suites and pool villas ranging in size from 70 sqm to 163 sqm. The innovative and unique architecture and interiors of the resort were designed by Sidney Quintela Architecture + Urban Planning, with landscaping by Alex Hanazaki, considered one of Brazil’s most creative landscape architects.
Recreational areas will be spread across the resort’s expansive grounds and include three restaurants, two outdoor swimming pools, a beach club and water sports area, a kids club and a baby and baby area. The main pool will feature a multi-level “waterfall” design to create different environments for you to relax and enjoy the pool water.
Inside the beach club, restaurants and bars will serve Bahia regional cuisine, while the hotel’s main restaurant will serve contemporary international and Brazilian cuisine and overlook the venue. An Asian restaurant will be located in the central area of the resort with stunning views of the Mamucabo River, hence the name of the resort.
Other facilities at the resort will include a large sports area including a tennis and paddle tennis court, a well-equipped fitness centre, a yoga terrace and a relaxation area. The Kids Club will provide children’s entertainment, including an exclusive play space in a large green and wooded area.
With its design complementing the tranquil character of the area, the resort will feature an Anantara Spa focused on physical and mental health, offering a wide range of therapeutic and wellness services. Integrated and isolated environments such as swimming pools, massage rooms, saunas and hydrotherapy circuits will promote complete relaxation.
For corporate and social events, adaptable spaces with state-of-the-art facilities will allow meetings of all sizes. Weddings, cocktail parties and year-end parties can be hosted next to the beach club, with incredible ocean views.
