Surrounded by the mountains of Ashe County, the Catchlight Gallery offers a wealth of ever-changing photographic art by a variety of photographers. Works change every month, and artists are constantly spending the day in the gallery to welcome guests. The gallery is open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Every Thursday from 1 pm to 4 pm, the Florence School of Art hosts an open studio in the studio space of downtown West Jefferson. This non-educational and informal time provides guests with the opportunity to collaborate with each other and meet fellow artists. Gallery membership is $ 50 per year. The gallery has handmade folk craft wood and wooden furniture created by the artist Eli Holman. A wide selection of pottery from across North Carolina and a carefully selected selection of bags, scarves and textiles from around the world. The gallery also features works by two Ashe County artists, Joan Stiles Bell and Susan Van Weeky, as well as prints by Lenoir de Puri.

Originals Only is open by appointment from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

RT Morgan’s art, co-owner of the internationally renowned artist and gallery, ranges from stainless steel sculptures and outdoor wall hangings to 2-12 foot interior pieces in a variety of materials and styles. Camille is a self-taught artist who discovers a world of talent within himself and specializes in stained glass. She started by creating suncatchers in the early days, and now she creates original door panels, window panels, and three-dimensional stained glass wall hangings. The gallery is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays and is open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Private viewing is always available.

87 Ruffin Street Gallery is located on Highway 221 in Linville, next to the Olde Hampton store, barbecue and tavern. 87 Raffin Street is the original 1921 Hampton Residence, where the works of local ceramists, woodworkers, glassmakers and painters are on display. The gallery’s opening hours vary depending on the season, so please call in advance or visit the gallery’s website or Facebook page before visiting.

As a painter, Chris Clark is sensitive to the needs of both artists and clients. Clark’s gallery has represented art for over 15 years and features a wide range of American artists who are highly regarded both locally and nationally. Clark is also active in American auction houses, sometimes collecting older works by non-artists on display in the gallery. Maggie’s pottery has gained an enthusiastic audience at state galleries, jury crafts and music festivals. She has been teaching in the ASU Craft Enhancement Program for over 10 years. Maggie Black Pottery can be found at the Millridge shop on Highway 105 in Blowing Rock. Here you can find her throwing pots on wheels, glazing and firing, behind the gallery on the second floor, or behind the gallery on the second floor.

The Sally Nooney Gallery offers a unique selection of glass sculptures to brighten the garden and a selection of beautiful paintings to decorate the house. Find the Sally Noonie Gallery on Highway 194, halfway between Banner Elk and Vajcresis. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Animals such as elks and wolves come alive with paintings by Kent Paulette, one of the finest artists featured at Sorrento’s Studio 140. The second floor of the gallery is decorated with Paulette’s paintings of dancing female figures and abstract mountain landscapes. Live music is also posted from time to time in the gallery, displaying a selection of pop art paintings by famous musicians. The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm.

The gallery is open 24/7 from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Visitors can walk around the premises, sit under the trees and discover the works in the gallery. You can buy all works of art both inside and outside the gallery. Art ranges from small interior works to large outdoor works.

The long-loved high-country art cellar gallery for fine arts is located on Banner Elk’s Highway 184. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Blowing Rock Frameworks and Gallery has been providing the highest quality fine arts and framing to the high country and surrounding areas for over 25 years. The store hosts two kiln openings and various other events throughout the year.

The Hands Gallery has been open for 46 years and offers a wide range of textiles, baskets, jewelry, pottery, photography, gourds, woodblock prints, soaps, mosaics, stained glass, wrought iron, wooden bowls, furniture and other handmade items.

The Hands Gallery is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. All members of the Hands Gallery live within 50 miles of the shop, and the gallery is outsourced from other parts of the state.

Every month, the Maggie Jones Gallery showcases the work of new artists and organizations and is featured at the Art Crawl Reception on the first Friday.
