Founded in 1989, Artnet is one of the world’s largest art platforms with over 60 million unique users annually and has entered the world of NFTs. With a great reputation for helping people discover, study and collect art, it was a natural advance. Today, Artnet Auctions hosts over 70 carefully selected auctions each year. As of the end of August, transactions sold at Artnet Auctions were up 20% year-on-year to $ 18.5 million and revenues were up 15% to $ 3.6 million.

Now we have launched ArtNFT, the company’s long-awaited on-chain NFT platform. Its first sale, ArtNFT: Beginnings, is the first dedicated space for NFT artists on well-known platforms. The first collection features some of today’s most iconic NFTs, and the work reflects the artist experimenting with this technology. The platform contains art from early pioneers and inventors of NFTs to generations of digital artists who have fully embraced NFTs.

Artnet, including works by Georg Nice, Herbert W. Franke, Vuk Chosic, Miltos Manetas, Kevin McCoy, Dmitri Cerniac, Osinacchi, Justin Aversano, Pindaros Van Arman, FEWOCIOUS, Kevin Abosch The first auction of is collecting rare and carefully selected examples from this fast-growing scene.

Outstanding works in the collection include Quantum Leap by Jennifer and Kevin McCoy. This codebase NFT evolved in a three-year cycle and was inspired by the 2014 work Quantum, the first blockchain tokenized artwork. Another eye-catching piece is Pindar Van Arman’s Emerging Faces, a collaboration with British street artist and electronic band Massive Attack member Robert “3D” Del Naja. Pindar Van Ahman is an American artist, roboticist, and pioneer in digital art. Van Arman has been building robots for use in his artistic practices since 2015. “Artnet has listened to and learned from the extraordinary NFT and crypto community over the past few months,” said Colleen Cash, Vice President of Auctions. “We aimed to enter the real space as much as possible. We are proud to be the first art world player to launch a natively encrypted auction from the beginning. We have built a platform that speaks meaningfully to the spirit of the NFT community, and we have built a platform that is familiar and welcoming to the traditional community. “

Artnet has also established an NFT Advisory Board, consisting of industry experts, as well as market and opinion leaders in this area, to provide the best possible work and user experience. The NFT Advisory Board includes Colborn Bell, Tim Cang, Nifty Naught, Claire Silver, Michael Ugwu, TokenAngels, The Beauty and the Punk.

Artnet aims to be a reliable platform for NFT artists and collectors. “The world of NFTs is building a multifaceted community and we are pleased to introduce ArtNFT as a space to discover and work on these cutting-edge works. In this announcement, Artnet’s global reach, We combine knowledge and expert curation to provide an integrated experience in the world of digital art, ”explains Jacob Pabst, CEO of Artnet.

As you know, and as you consume, art is evolving like never before. NFT artists familiar to us today are made possible by technologies that help us develop new art forms, such as generative art, and create new types of art. As John Culkin said in 1967, “We shape our tools, then our tools shape us.” This is certainly the world of blockchain and art today. It’s happening.

Incorporating computer-generated elements of art into even the most famous collections and exhibitions is rapidly becoming popular.
