The world’s leading fashion and jewellery brands from Bond Street will join the Royal Academy of Arts for a six-week arts and culture event in London’s Mayfair district. The Mayfair Festival will take place from 20 June to 31 July 2022, celebrating Mayfair’s vibrant cultural scene.

This year, contemporary British artist Mali Morris RA was invited to design a flag that hangs above Bond Street. Morris’ multi-layered canvases explore the language of painting and its ever-changing possibilities for expression. Her focus is color, light and space. For the art in the Mayfair flag designs, Mali has meticulously scaled, considering how the designs will read in the expansive spaces of Bond Street. She has always been aware of how luminosity will open up street spaces and has been fascinated by how her colours will move through the space and change with daylight, every minute.

Bond Street will collaborate with the Royal Academy of Arts to showcase installations, pop-ups and dynamic events, transforming the community into a live exhibition honouring Mayfair’s rich artistic heritage. Bond Street and Mayfair’s most iconic brands and designers collaborate with artists to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship.

Participating brands include Louis Vuitton, Fendi and MaxMara, Pickett and the jeweller’s Pomellato and Savile Row’s esteemed tailors such as Richard James, Dege & Skinner, Anderson & Sheppard, Henry Poole and Cad and the Dandy, who will showcase Works by a wide range of artists.

Art in Mayfair will also include the Mayfair Sculpture Trail in partnership with Mayfair Arts Weekend, offering a one-of-a-kind immersive art experience that will reconnect the public with art and explore temporary and permanent artworks on the streets of Mayfair.

The trail features an interactive outdoor exhibit, temporary sculptures displayed by galleries participating in Mayfair Arts Weekend, as well as permanent sculptures and public art located in the iconic neighborhood. The Mayfair Sculpture Trail will include works by Kojo Marfo (presented by JD Malat Gallery), David Breuer Weil (presented by E&R Cyzer), Andy Denzler and Lee Gil Rae (presented by Opera Gallery), Michael Speller (presented by Clarendon Fine Art) and Maurice Blik (courtesy of Bowman Sculpture). Highlights are Banksy, Henry Moore, Elizabeth Frink, Anthony Gormley’s favourite permanent installations around Mayfair, and a new sculptural installation by Jill Berrelovitz at 45 Park Lane .
