We all know and love, Disney, right? At famous movies, shows and theme parks, it commits to attracting a beloved fan base. However, the company recently discovered itself in hot water after being accused of stealing a sculptural design from an independent artist.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Disney World’s theme parks in Florida, a number of purchased sculptures are being held to celebrate the beginning of the park. One is the sculpture of a fascinating Chiki Room drummer. Tiki’s drummer is an animatronic figure featuring the fascinating Chiki Room, which has been a staple of the park since its first opening. However, Disney has been accused of copying the 3D Tiki design created by writer Andrew Martin.

Martin shared the story of his work used on top of Instagram with TikTok. In a video that squeezes millions of views, the artist explains how he designs a Tiki drummer based on the work of Disney artist ROLLY Crump.
Martin will create a design bag in 2018, but after posting the design on social media, people started asking to buy numbers. The artist has decided to release a 3D model on Thingiverse so that people can make one for themselves.
When you put the Disney model and Martin model next to each other, the look of the design has some important similarities between the two, such as the location of certain notches and dents, to make it older. (See below), there is a mistake.
It’s safe to say that there are certain similarities between the two designs, but we can’t say to make it clear that Disney is taking Martin’s 3D model. Updated users on social media about the design because there is Martin as it is mysteriously taken out of the Disney World online store. As the artist points out, if it’s sold out by itself, if Disney itself took the sculpture down, or, however, we haven’t confirmed.
