On December 31, 2018, Etsy announced that it had a record 60 million items on the market.
From creative beeswax candles to upcycling lamps, handmade hair accessories to magic candles, these are some of the unique products sold out in the New Bedford area.

WhileInTheBatCave provides home decor for anyone’s “Bat Cave”. Most of their Etsy products are low-priced 100% beeswax candles from colorful pumpkins, heart-shaped roses, skulls, bridal gowns, and peonies.
“I’ve been sewing since I was 8 and quilting since I was 15. It’s always been one of my passions and one of my past favorites,” wrote the artist on Etsy. I am. “But I love trying and learning different kinds of crafts. I like to use my imagination to create unique, original and fun works. I hope you think so too! “

TinyTaxidermyDesigns sells miniature animals that can be used as card holders for special occasions and wall decorations. (Don’t worry, they are not real taxidermy.)
In her Etsy profile, Danielle Medeiros calls herself a scientist and a donut enthusiast who is passionate about drawing small animals and sending cat snapchats.
Items from Medeiros’ Etsy shop include different types of painted animals that are used as card holders for party souvenirs. There are also zoo animal wall hooks, dinosaur wall decorations for hanging masks and hats, and animal holiday ornaments.

Upcycling lamp
UpAllNight offers unique lamps that are creatively upcycled from a variety of materials and vintage objects to illuminate any space. From Budweiser nut dispensers to guitars, these are just two of the few creative lamps available for purchase.

According to Etsy, artist Kristin Branco is a 30-year-old mom of a 9-year-old girl who is currently engaged in higher education but lacks creativity. She and her husband set up an Etsy shop to sell her work.
The shop also has a lot of Christmas decorations such as gift decorations, garlands, door hangers and holiday signs. Check out the elf entrance decorations upcycled from the fan blades.

Personalized cutting board
StylesByShannen says it is lovingly handcrafted with all products as it offers custom engraved chopping boards, cheese platters, wooden ornaments and botanical signs.

Westport artist Shanen wrote on Etsy’s profile: “A trade marketer, a craftsman in the heart. A person who loves everything creative and colorful.” “I hope mine brings you as much joy as I make it.”
The cutting board is a premium solid walnut board that is perfect for any gift. The board has a 4-inch paddle handle with a leather strap. There are three types of boards: 4 x 20 inches, 17 x 8 inches, and 16 x 10.5 inches.

Handmade painting
ChromaFusionDesigns sells original handmade paintings by New Bedford artist Matt Carreiro. Artwork includes 12 “x 16” whale acrylic paint, wave abstracts, Christmas noms, whale watercolors, and custom nom ornaments.
Carreiro is an art teacher at Roosevelt Middle School.

hair accessory
JLAccessory has a number of hair accessories such as bows and headbands that you can buy on Etsy. According to the site, the goal is to provide beautiful, unique and well-made accessories.
“Hair bows have become my passion,” writes artist Jlee Jewels. “Everyone can express themselves and what you believe in. Humbly show off what you are proud of … where I am now, years later. But I love new creations and sewing. “
Products include marine pinup bows, camouflage bows and headbands, red patriot headbands, leopard prints, polka dot pinups, scarves, ankle bracelets and chokers.

According to Etsy, 85 surfboards are already on sale.

KnottyWitches Inc is ubiquitous on the South Coast at craft fairs, flea markets, and more recently Sunday at New Bedford Vocational High School.
The Etsy shop sells magical soy candles from Knotty Witches such as End of the Rainbow, Gypsy Soul, and Mermaid Dreams.

The online shop sells vegan hen lotions, moisturizing face creams, moon earrings and star earrings, and pink lady candles in cocktail glasses. The next pop-up will take place at the Frosty Village Craft Fair in Plymouth on Friday, December 3rd.

Holiday scented candles
When it comes to candles, Mockingbird LaneDCo seems to know how to capture the scent of “fun memories” in a jar. An online shop made of 100% soy wax, you’ll find 7 ounces of candles that smell like hot chocolate, winter cabins, campfire s’mores, and Christmas movie watching.
There is also a “Love is Love” PRIDE candle along with hand-painted Christmas ornaments, a pet bow tie and a holiday car diffuser.

Creative mask
With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the New Bedford area, wearing protective masks may not soon disappear. So why not leave it to Connie Stitch’s design? Artist Constance Sauvé-Soares says on Etsy’s profile that she enjoys knitting, crocheting, sewing and gardening.
According to Etsy’s comments, the masks are very well made, of high quality, with good stitching and a good overall fit. Patterns such as good morning ondori, dragonfly lavender design, and Mardigra theme are also interesting.
Sauvé-Soares also has custom cushions and berets.

Vintage-Retro-Repro
LilDeuce32 creates vintage-inspired necklaces and ornaments upcycled from around the South Coast. For example, her shark family necklace has sand on East Beach in Westport. Other items on her Etsy shop include sea-themed ornaments, earrings, and charms.
The store also has an ocean splash shadow box for storing small items, a metal bar bracelet with the “Beach Girl” engraving, and a vintage-style hair clip.
