The NFT artwork, titled Monyet Istana (Palace Monkey), will be sold for 0.05 BNB and all proceeds will be donated to the Freedom of Speech Defense Fund.

The statutory fund helps support fellow Malaysians who have been investigated and charged with exercising their right to freedom of expression.

The artist said he would not receive a penny from the sale of the NFT. Monyet Istana will be available for sale on April 26th.

Fami was arrested and cross-examined by police for two days after uploading artwork showing that Mojo Jojo of the Powerpuff Girls was wearing clothes similar to royal clothing.

This was thought to be a satirical reaction to the news that the Selangor Sultan purchased a painting depicting the MP as a monkey, ape, or frog.

Some netizens expressed their support and asked how they would buy the artwork.
