Flagpole Photographers Club Announces April Programs, Including Hybrid Presentation

The April event at the Flagpole Photographers Camera Club begins with an online presentation “Chasing Light” by Sigma technician Mark Farb.

Guests will learn how to choose the right lens for the task at hand, go through the kit lens and choose the next lens to create a more impactful photo. The program is scheduled for Thursday, April 14th at 7:15 pm.

The theme of this month’s contest is “shadow or silhouette”, and the monthly challenge theme is “flower”. This will happen directly online at 7pm on Thursday, April 28th. The face-to-face event will take place at the New Town Senior Center at 8 Simpson Street. Masks are optional and seats are spaced apart.

Members have the option to bring printed material for discussion during social hours from 7 am to 7:30 pm before the meeting begins.

Members compete in different assigned subjects each month and in the categories of Monthly Challenges, Open Color, and Open Monochrome. Monthly challenges will be decided by the next month’s tournament.

Only members can participate in the contest, but the general public can listen to criticisms and learn about photography.

The club also wants to invite everyone to the Mentor Night, which takes place online on the first Thursday of every month. Experienced club members help others improve their photos. Mentor Nights are the fun of asking questions, sharing knowledge, and learning more about everything related to photography. Please attach a question or a photo.
