Warner Music Group is more involved in the world of NFTs.

Headquartered in New York digital’s collection platform Blockparty has established its first major label partnership with Warner Music Group (WMG).

The news follows WMG’s global NFT partnership with Genies, which claims to be the “world’s largest avatar technology company” last April.

Blockparty claims to have created “a new class of digital collections that span art, music and sports,” and states that “users will be able to share and acquire value together.”

The partnership announced today (January 21st) will give WMG artists access to what Blockparty calls “the world’s most advanced Web3 technology in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).”

This partnership will allow Warner Music artists to use Blockparty’s Decentralized Exchange (DEX). It is described in a press release as “a community-focused trading platform where collectors can exchange digital assets in ways that never existed before.”

Blockparty also claims that “for the first time”, with its DEX, “artists and creators have the opportunity to participate in NFT swaps.”

Blockparty adds that DEX users have the option to “bundle NFTs” that can be exchanged, traded, or sold in combination with existing NFTs.

The company continues as follows: “By eliminating mediators, creators, artists, collectors and fans can now connect directly in ways never before possible through this unique experience.”

Blockparty’s first NFT drop will take place with Warner Music Finland artist STIG, who has released a series of NFTs.

“This partnership with Blockparty facilitates WMG’s Web3 reach by allowing artists and songwriters to create their own digital stories through NFTs.”
