Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably heard of the latest Spider-Man movies that are taking over the world (literally). And unless you’re absent from all social media, you’ll probably know that by now all three live-action spidermen have starred in the history of the movie. To celebrate the ambitious crossover, Marvel has released a collection of Spider-Man-themed merchandise. One T-shirt has the invisible logo of the movie.
The new design is shared on Marvel’s official website, with all three Spider-Man logos from the 2002, 2012 and 2017 movies stacked on top of each other. The T-shirt sells for $ 29.90 on the Box Lunch website, but after looking at the design, I’m not sure it’s worth it. I think we were seriously overwhelmed by this design and there was plenty of room for a more exciting spider crossover design-after all, they are superheroes. The design looks messy with stacked spiders and annoying heavy black contours. Also, I think the black spider looks disproportionately larger than the other two. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen a Spider-Man franchise make strange design choices. In 2019, we released a poster for the Nightmare Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Some internet seems to agree with us, and Twitter users share their thoughts on design. One user tweeted, “This is a strange take,” and another tweeted, “It looks like two spiders and ticks.” However, despite the slander, many fans like the logo, and some say, “This is very dope” and “I love this design.”

We’re not fans of this design, but there are still some cool Spider-Man on the Marvel website. If you think you can create a better logo than this, why not create your own logo according to these 15 golden rules of logo design.
