Perspective Gallery’s Student Perspectives 2022 Exhibition

The Perspective Gallery will be hosting the 10th annual photo exhibition “Student Perspectives 2022” by high school students in the Chicago area. This year, 180 students from 15 regional high schools submitted more than 450 images. Of these, 40 images by 35 students were selected for the exhibition.

This year’s jury was Catherine Schiffers, a photographer and installation artist who exhibited his work locally, locally and nationwide. Her work is stored in the Brady Gallery’s personal and permanent collections at George Washington University. She is an assistant professor at Dupage University and chairs the photography program. She received an Associate in Applied Sciences in Photography from the Ohio Institute of Photography, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in Chicago, and a Masters degree in Fine Arts from George Washington University. She was a recipient of the Albert P. Wiseman Scholarship and the Morris Lewis Scholarship. She won the Columbia College Chicago Academic Excellence Award, the Columbia College Chicago Photography Division Purchase Award, and the Photo Thor Award.
