Premier Dadalt House / ALVMTR
A description of the text provided by the architect. Located in Premier De Dart (a neighborhood on the outskirts of Barcelona), this house is a new home for a young couple on a steep slope with stunning panoramic views of the sea. The project needed to provide a common living space with external access, an integrated kitchen, two bedrooms, a flexible environment for everyday use or office, two bathrooms, a toilet and a garage.
It was decided to organize the project at two levels. A public open ground floor with no large windows to access compartments or external decks, with the aim of creating a living space with a strong connection to a special environment. Private rooms evacuate to the upper floors in search of intimacy.
This idea is tense by introducing vertical dimensions. The double-height opening is an open and flexible space that organizes and disperses the surrounding environment, connecting public and private life on the upper floors.
From the outside, this distinction between public and private levels is clearly embodied. Reinforced concrete retaining walls and steel H-columns embedded in the hillside allow large windows to open, forming an exposed concrete and transparent flat base. The upper floors, on the other hand, have four facades with wood-finished PVC boards and a sliding panel system to protect them from the sun, allowing you to open up and enjoy the scenery. The simple line design with no attention to detail or decoration stands out.
