Suffolk artist Rich Will makes career change after lockdown

A Suffolk painter who changed his career after finding a passion for the blockade says it helped him overcome his own difficulties.

Rich Will from Nedding Thailand near Hadley not only creates abstract acrylic paintings, but also delivers them to the client himself.

Will said: “People love my art and I enjoy it. I live in dreams. All I know is to go through experiments and love to be in the process. . ”

During the pandemic, Will completely transformed his career from a top sales and marketing role to a full-time artist.

The painter says that delivering the painting helps alleviate his anxiety.

He states: “It just filled the time, kept me busy, and helped my mental health.

“It was very helpful to get the picture out and deliver it so that I could interact with people.”

The artist donated his artwork to the Woodbridge Teapot project.

In the coming weeks, Will will produce some paintings for sale to support Ukrainian relief charities.


The artist specializes in acrylic abstract art of canvas and glass, and many of his requests are outsourced to customers.

He states: “They contact me and ask if I can draw a photo or landscape version. I like this type of test run work because it takes me out of my comfort zone. From the client. I made some works that I couldn’t do at all without the designation. “

The 42-year-old artist acknowledges that the surroundings, fields and beaches of Suffolk are his great inspiration.
