Some landscape masterpieces are partially very powerful due to the location in which they are set. But sometimes you’ll be happy to find the exact location where the world-famous portrait was painted …

Where?Venice, Italy

Let’s start with the simple ones. Canaletto mass-produced Venetian paintings, like mass-produced Christmas cards.You can choose one of dozens, but the 1730s Entrance to the Great Canal The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will tell you exactly where the title is set. See venice-tourism.com

Where?Toledo, Spain

Another great clue to the title is El Greco’s View of Toledo.. However, the artist performed some tricks and moved some buildings, so the exact view cannot be duplicated. However, the best approximation is to find it on the Tagus River, which overlooks the city from the east. See esmadrid.com

Where?Eldon, Iowa

Grant Wood, one of the most famous paintings of the 20th century Gothic America Characterized by a farmer and his daughter outside their unique home. The house is the Dible House (below) in Eldon, Iowa, and is preserved on the National Register of Historic Places. You can also go inside. Where?Oslo, Norway

Edvard Munch’s infamous many-copy paintings were set against the backdrop of the highly stylized Oslofjord. The exact location where the screaming person stands is on a hill in the Ekeberg district of eastern Oslo. The view from the Ekebergutsikten observatory is not exactly the same today. Buildings have continued for more than a century since Munch painted them. scream.. However, right next to it is a fine dining restaurant and a sculpture park. See visitoslo.com

Where?Cap de Creus, Spain

Discovered at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Salvador Dali’s surrealist masterpiece, best known for its melting pocket watches, has beautiful beaches and elegant cliffs in the background. These are from the Cap de Creus Peninsula in northern Catalonia, the easternmost point of mainland Spain. The cliffs were well known because Dali lived in the village of Port Lligat. After seeing the cliffs, you can visit Dali’s house (now a museum). See salvador-dali.org

Starry night

Where?Saint Remy, France

Vincent van Gogh took inspiration from the view from asylum in France Starry night.. The village in the picture is imaginative, but don’t stop by in the hope that it will look the same. The asylum was in the Monastery of Saint-Paul-Domosol in Saint-Remy, just south of Avignon (pictured below). Many of the monasteries are now the Van Gogh Museum. See saintpauldemausole.fr

Where?Arles, France

Other wonderful Van Gogh landscapes in Southern France Café terrace at night, Installed at Place du Forum in Arles. The local government has made it as easy as possible to duplicate the view, with the northeast corner of the square facing up, as Van Gogh drew. A piece that attracts shameless tourists, the cafe in question is now called Le Café Van Gogh (below). See arlestourisme.com

Where?Giverny, France

Claude Monet’s water lily series depicts a water lily pond in his garden in Giverny, a town on the Seine between Paris and Rouen. He lived in the house for 43 years and cheerfully cultivated the garden when he wasn’t painting it. Monet’s house and garden are now open to visitors, which could mean that a herd of tour buses obstructs the best views of the lilies. See fondation-monet.com

Hay Wain

Where?Flatford, England

The Stool River was painted by John Constable, depicting three horses pulling a wooden wagon across the river. The river forms the border between Suffolk and Essex, but the perspective captures the scene from Flatford Mill on the Sussex side. Recently, a small settlement in Flatford has been run by the National Trust as a shrine for police officers. The house in the picture, known as Willy Lot’s house, is still standing. Where?Hill End, New South Wales

An exciting painting by Russell Drysdale depicting three boys playing cricket in an empty town is one of Australia’s greatest works of art in the 20th century. Painted in Hill End, the town of gold rush between Orange, Mudgee and Bathurst.Main building introduced in Cricketer Royal Hotel (pictured below) – The side wall on the left side of the building.
