Chinese New Year is approaching. In short, restaurants around the United Arab Emirates celebrate the year of the Tiger with a delicious feast.

Buffet selections, set menus, family-style meals, fine dining and soothing street food-style eateries, this spring festival has something for everyone to enjoy.

Cantonese cuisine at a fine dining restaurant celebrates the year of the tiger with a limited menu that includes drinks inspired by the tiger. The menu begins with a salad with homemade salmon and plum dressing and is served with a dim sum trio of grilled truffle duck puffs, tiger shrimp dumplings and wild mushroom puffs. The main includes chestnuts, morel mushrooms, grilled cornfed patchcock with angelica roots, and a wok of wild seabass with enoki mushrooms and spicy sesame soybeans. Finish with gold tiger-striped orange dark chocolate firecrackers and mandarin sorbet.

Nahhaam Lunar New Year Branch

Nahhaam at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers will host a Lunar New Year brunch with a specially selected Chinese menu. The restaurant is decorated with Chinese themes, including wall art and hostesses decorated with traditional costumes. Live entertainment is also available at the brunch.

Sea Fu is ringing on a special menu for 5 days during Chinese New Year. Authentic Chinese fine dining restaurant SHI celebrates with a limited edition daily menu and a special brunch of traditional and contemporary Chinese cuisine.

The brunch menu consists of a four-course meal that includes the option of hot and sour soup and sushi platter. Then there are classic Chinese starters such as Crispy Duck Bao Bang, Dim Sum, Crispy Soft Shell Crab, Cantonese Char Siu Beef. The main dishes include Japanese beef black pepper sauce, wok tossed lobster, and Alaskan black cod miso sauce. If you’re a sweet tooth, you can finish the brunch with taro brulee and mochi.

Buddha Bar Dubai

Buddha-Bar hosts a special Buddha-Bar Nights event for 4 nights with the theme of Chinese New Year. There are not only new shows and entertainment, but also menus specially curated for the occasion. Expect appetizers such as duck salad, truffle mushroom chicken bao and soft shell crab. The main includes short ribs of char siu wagyu beef and rice clay pot of mushrooms, sweet and sour sardines, and grilled chicken grown with five-spice powder corn. Finish with mango pudding, chocolate and sesame dice. The venue will be filled with colorful flowers, orchids and traditional Chinese decorations.
